The Shelf: Origins
It’s Shelf time.
We’ve wanted a website for a while. Now we’ve got one. Hell to the yeah.
This is a more or less obligatory entry post, a “hey, we’re here, let’s do this thing!” post. I’m not sure how creative I can get with this. I’m trying.
This is the Socialist Shelf blog, henceforth to be called The Shelf. Credit for that name goes to @dergonquert.bsky.social. Discredit goes to me for not thinking of it immediately.
What will go up on The Shelf? Short fiction, essays, poetry, reviews, really whatever we feel like writing. The primary contributors will be myself, Lenore, and Ryan, but we want to feature other creators as well. The Shelf is socialist, we want it to be a shared space. If you would like to put something up, feel free to shoot us an email.
I’m not going to promise any kind of consistent schedule, because life is far too crazy for us to commit to that, but we’ll do our best to make it semi-regular.
I’m looking forward to this journey, even if we never get many readers. For those of you who do read…thanks. Because of you, these words transcend dead symbols on a screen. They become something. We can’t thank you enough for that.
And now it’s time to get to writing.
